Philip Paine recently informed the Board of the Adelaide Youth Orchestras that he would not be seeking to renew his contract as conductor of the Adelaide Youth Sinfonia (AdSI) in 2012.

Philip has conducted AdSI for the past two years, during which time the orchestra has expanded its repertoire to include several challenging new works and has presented a number of fine performances.

The Adelaide Youth Orchestras’ Artistic Director, Associate Professor Keith Crellin, will conduct AdSI in 2012. As well, whilst continuing as Principal Conductor of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra, Keith will be inviting guest conductors for some programs, details of which will be announced at the Orchestra’s 2012 season launch on 4 February 2012.
