23 years ago – just one year after AdYO was founded – a new ensemble was created to bridge the gap between Adelaide Youth Strings (now Junior Strings) and our flagship youth orchestra – and it made the news!
The Adelaide Youth Orchestras acknowledge the Kaurna People as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, rehearse, gather and perform. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and we thank them for their rich musical traditions that continue to echo to this day.
