AdYO Board Chair awarded King’s Birthday honour

We’re proud to share that our Board Chair Catherine Baldwin has been recognised in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her service to the arts, culture, and charitable organisations.

Catherine’s contribution to AdYO has been significant and deeply valued, but it represents just one part of her broader impact. Through her leadership and volunteer work across multiple sectors, she has made a meaningful difference to many individuals and organisations.

An arts and culture leader, Catherine has shaped performing arts institutions across Australia and Canada. She is the Founding Chair of Ngutu College and has held senior leadership roles at organisations including Bangarra Dance Theatre, Ausdance NSW and, of course, Adelaide Youth Orchestras. Her work spans theatre, photography, education, and Indigenous arts, with a parallel commitment to philanthropic governance through roles such as Chair of the Transfield Foundation.

This honour is a well-deserved acknowledgment of her dedication and service. Congratulations, Catherine.
