At Adelaide Youth Orchestra (AdYO), we are deeply grateful for the generosity of our community. Your support helps us provide transformative musical experiences for young South Australians.
Recently, however, we’ve become aware of individuals falsely claiming to fundraise on our behalf, going door-to-door and requesting cash donations.
We want to make sure every supporter knows how to donate safely and securely so that your contribution truly benefits our musicians.
How AdYO accepts donations
To protect both you and our organisation, AdYO has strict policies around donations:
- We do not accept cash donations under any circumstances.
- The only secure ways to donate are:
- Online via our official website: www.adyo.com.au
- Over the phone via our publicly listed number: (08) 8361 8896
These methods ensure your payment details are handled securely and that your donation goes directly to supporting our programs.
What to do if you’re approached
If someone claims to be fundraising for AdYO in person, please do not give them cash or personal information. Instead:
- Politely decline and do not engage further.
- Contact us immediately on (08) 8361 8896 to verify.
- If you feel comfortable, note any details (such as location or description) and share them with us so we can report the activity.
Why security matters
Scams like these not only harm generous donors – they also undermine the trust that allows us to thrive as a community organisation.
By donating through our official channels, you help us maintain transparency and accountability, ensuring every dollar supports young musicians.
Thank you for standing with us and helping keep AdYO safe and strong.
If you have any questions about donations or fundraising, please reach out to us directly at via email or call (08) 8361 8896.
